Colorado's Western Slope
Volunteer firefighters turned contractors — we protect our community on the fireline and on your property, bringing real fire behavior expertise to every mitigation job.
Who We Are
Outbound Contracting is a full-service contracting company built by volunteer firefighters who protect Delta County communities year-round. We got tired of watching preventable losses on properties that never got the mitigation work they needed — so we built a crew that could do something about it. We bring the same firsthand fire behavior knowledge from the fireline to every defensible space job we take on.
Beyond fire mitigation, we handle the full scope of rural contracting work: pipeline trenching, septic installation, structural demolition, and land clearing — all with the same discipline and attention to detail we bring to the fireline.

Why Outbound
Our team are active volunteer firefighters serving Delta County. When we assess your property, we're thinking about how fire moves through your terrain — because we've fought it.
We live and work in the same terrain our clients call home. Piñon, juniper, oak brush, steep mesas — we know what burns and how.
High-flow skid steers, excavators, and extreme-duty attachments capable of clearing steep, rocky, and overgrown land.
Before-and-after photo records and written mitigation reports to help you meet HB 1182 and insurer requirements.
Pipeline, septic, demo, and land work — handled by one trusted team instead of juggling multiple contractors.
We show up when we say we will and communicate clearly throughout the job, from estimate to completion.
Straightforward estimates with no hidden fees. You know what the job costs before we ever break ground.
Where We Work
Based in Delta County, Colorado, Outbound Contracting serves rural and residential property owners across Western Colorado's most fire-prone and rugged counties.
As volunteer firefighters responding to fires across this region, we've seen firsthand what happens when mitigation doesn't happen. That drives how we work — prioritizing the properties and access corridors that matter most when fire moves through the Western Slope.
Colorado's House Bill 1182 requires insurers to consider defensible space when underwriting rural properties. As volunteer firefighters, our team assesses your property the way fire behavior actually demands — not just to check a compliance box, but to genuinely reduce the risk to your home and to the crews who may one day respond to your street.
We provide before-and-after photo documentation and written mitigation records so your work qualifies toward HB 1182 compliance and satisfies your insurer.
